I use Txt-lists 'cause I normally work with known sounds.
Dave Haupts filemodules are nice though.

I think You'll need to also specify Pitch and Velocity for a trigger to happen.

Ok, yes, thats a good reason of course I think there is a KDL-module that is able to create new folders. I'll look into that later today, have a soundjob first. Best, Claus

Do You really need to save the samples iow. need copies of them? 'Cause the easiest thing is to save a txt-file with the 8 PADs filenames. For this You'll need DHs Textarray-modules (or whoever makes arrays) - they are good for this

When using samples, I normally use a txt-list with the names (incl. full path, if possible) of the samples, and use some kind of selector for that list. The output of the list goes directly to a filenamepin on a wav-player. This way, when changing the patch, the corresponding samples are also loaded. This should also work for user-selected samples, ie. You have a user-field for inputting new paths/samplenames. As long as there is a text-field with correspondent patch-mem, It should work Best, Claus

Well, I found my problem... I used an ADSR module on the LFO Depth in order to be able to delay the vibrato effect using the attack of the envelope (for Lfo delay time). I had attached a fader only on the attack pin, and I had set the decay and sustain to value=10 in the module's properties...but the release value was 7... I set it to 10 as well and now the vibrato stays until the end of the Amp Env. As for DH_EnvSeg, it didn't serve my needs for some reason I can't remember... Thank you for your time. If there is some forum for beginners where I can post my questions now and then, please post a link.Vangelis Yoa are already there, I think People make different kinds of plugins and thereby focuses on different aspects of SE. Ie. there are areas in SE I know very well, but in others I'm a total newb even though I started in around 2008. Best, Claus

Sounds like Your LFO is controlled by a GATE-signal somehow?

mmm i would use the "mousdown" in combination with an sample&hold or an DH-array to freeze That's what I wrote earlier also / edit Btw. in the above circuit, a momentary push on Hold latches the current knob value. Then, the knob can be turned without a change on the output - and when Hold is pressed again - voila, new value on the output.

Maybe a sample&hold where hold is controlled by Mouse down, maybe combined with a many to one, it should be possible to stop outputvalues from changing, until the mousebutton is released again. Haven't tried it yet but can't see why it shouldn't work.

Hi! I wanna create a VST drum sampler. Does anyboy know if it's possible in SE to have a sound preview when choosing a sound file in the browser window before loading it into the waveplayer? Well, You actually always just put a filename to the waveplayers input. Preview is accomplished by triggering the player, just like if You were playing it. If the sound You found is ok, just continue working with that filname on the Waveplayer. If not the right one, select another sound, and press Your triggering 'preview-button'. Setting it to trigger '5 Volts-to-pitch', You'll (of course) hear the original recordings pitch. No hokus pokus (And if You have a soundcard with more than 2 analog outputs, You could make the Preview button also select ie. Sound Out 3+4 thereby avoiding the previewed sound to be send to the front-speakers, but instead gets routed to ie. a set of hedphones etc.) Oh my, have to correct myself. To make a preview function, maybe insert a second Waveplayer, just for this purpose, and feed this players input filename-pin from a fileselector-module, or Your own txt-based list of files to use, using a text-copy function. Should be possible, I think. Using a second Waveplayer also makes it possible to preview different modes (pitch, fwd/rev etc.) without changing parameter values in Your current selected Preset.

Hmmm, different delaytimes results in different endtimes - maybe You could 'sample' the last "shortest-delaytime" and "Play It Again Sam!" Joking aside, could it be because it's a log-scaled input? (just a shot from my side) Have to try it out, but not on my SE PC right now. (moving stuff around to better hw etc.)

No, nothing happen, but that's not a Command line, it not works in the command prompt. My bad, I remebered myself for using OS-module in one of my synths, it's SysCom-2 (Windows 7 comming soon to a Athlon 5350 near me, already build a system yesterday for "LiveMix" in 'my' band, so I'm going to order one more, for myself Nice stuff on a 45 Watt PC )

When You compile as VST do You check the "Mono use OK (send effect)"? - That might solve the crashing problem.

Hello, I try to use the OS command module (I'm on windows 7) but without any succes. With command prompt, no problem, but the same line triggered by the OS command module doesn't do anything. I'm trying to rename wave files on E: (system is on C:). On command prompt, "Ren E:\samples\1.wav 1bis.wav" actually rename the 1.wav to 1bis.wav, but not in synthedit. Any Idea ? Is the module restricted by adminrights or something? (rightclick-properties) Also, try inputting a webaddress (ie. "http:\\www.google.com") into the commandline. Does that work?

maybe im mistaken and didnt understood well but you have to use 2 delay modules to make a stereo delay and use the X-Mix module to cross or convert them to mono in order to make an "all in one"! just one delay module wont make your output stereo! He actually wrote 2ins and outs in the opening post -- Delays as audio fx are by nature full polyphonic. They eat everything on the input, put that in a buffer and outputs the result at the same time in realtime. (Delaytime can be made by altering the buffersize on the run (88.200 bytes = 1 sek. @ 16bit/44Khz) or by altering the bufferspeed. Btw. the last option are the way old BBD-chips work.
