Leds can be used for many things. Try - right click -> insert -> controls -> Led2 - a prefab of a led example will be inserted. Take a look to it.
right click over the containner or the patchmemfloat and choose automation. the low value is the value for the led to be light down and the high value the value for the led to be light up. You can connect it to whatever voltage you wish. You can also set leds for your LFOs as indicators of activeness.
Try - right click -> insert -> examples -> Radio button - this will show how to make a radio button using patchmemlist and int to bools modules. You can also use patchmemint instead of patchmemlist in case of panels indication. If you want to use buttons to switch between panels, connect a patchmemint value pin to 3 int to bools modules, then connect the containners "controls on parent" pin to a int to bools, a button to the second int to bools in the same order and into the 3rd int to bools the leds. In the GUI, by clicking in the buttons you have connected, the panels will switch among them and the leds will light up responsively.
These are the basis but there are more things you can do with the Leds.
