Hi everybody, I've installed SynthEdit 1.1913 Demo a few days ago, impressed by some vsts people make with it. I've been reading and watching some tutorials and I can already see that is much fun to use this programm. Now I have a question... In many tutorials I've found, the properties windows look like this:
But when I open the properties windows in the my PC, it shows less options:
Is this due to the demo version? Where can I find these missing options (Polyphony, CPU, Skin...)? Thank you in advance!

this is a property windows of an older version of SE.
cpu ---> debug to change skin you have to select panel edit and click right mousebutton on the screen.
BUT WHERE IS POLYPHONY??? i wanna know too!

Thank you for your answer! I've found the "Polyphony" property in the properties Windows of the module "Midi to CV". Is that the one you were looking for? Does anybody know where can I download an updated version of Synthedit? I've downloaded the one I have from here: www.synthedit.com/demo/and then, the version 1.1914 from here: www.synthedit.com/members/But not only the Properties Windows, but other things are different. For instance, PatchMemory Float3 doesn't have the plugs Min Value and Max Value, which are probably "hidden" somewhere, but without them I can't follow the book I'm reading now ("Visual VST/i Programming"). Is it possible that it is this book, as well as other tutorials, which are older than the SynthEdit version I've just installed? Thanks! :-)

The Books examples are basically for SE v.1.0xx, but it SHOULD be possible to convert most examples.
About Min/Max, it also frustrates me that there are no connections anymore, but just a right-click property. It makes switching between ie. "6db/12db" ranges more difficult, I think. Must be another way to do it then..

1) I've found the "Polyphony" property in the properties Windows of the module "Midi to CV". Is that the one you were looking for? 2) PatchMemory Float3 doesn't have the plugs Min Value and Max Value, which are probably "hidden" somewhere 1) not really... in older version it was possible to set polyphony for each container. 2) do you mean Pin min & max-value? i was looking into sourcecode but there are no hidden pins. did you mean "lo-hi"? if yes, you will find it at automation. about switching... a many2one with different multiplicators or dividers can do that.

"about switching... a many2one with different multiplicators or dividers can do that." I know, but the smart thing with having them on connections is that the faders can visually reflects the change too, without leveljumps etc. Thats a very usable function in SE that got changed to something less usefull I think. I really want to solve it, so to not derail this thread: syntheditforum.boards.net/thread/144/patchmem-min-max

mmmmm ok im not sure how the min-max behaved in SE1.0x. i can add those pins but i dont know the exactly scheme inside. Having the Pins exposed means You can change the Min/Max settings on the Run. I've played around in 1.1, and to make the same behavior there, takes at least 2-4 modules MORE - per fader, so a 2x15 band EQ will need ~60 more modules to make the same behaviour as the Min/Max pins in 1.017. Unless theres some way to do it, I don't know of. What do You mean by "I can add those pins..." - In SE 1.1??

uhhhm.... i mean adding the pins to the patchmem float. but i installed SE1.0x to look into and now i know that i´m not able to code this module. maybe its possible to override the automation values but i dont know how. maybe i can do a workarround but i need to know your structure to put it in one module.
