im using a delay in a synth, but is it common to when modulating the modulation of Delay2 module with a free knob, the sounds gets all twisted instead of increasing/decreasing time with no twisted effect?

I think the delay2 module doesn't support realtime delay modulation.

It actually does Thats why it has a "Interpolate output" pref. It's used to smooth the signal when moudulating. So, when changeing the delaytime with a knob (which) is also interpolated), the intermiddient values get read too, thereby causing the "twisted" sound because the delay tries to delay all the different values You dial by. If You want to minimize that behavior, You could try hooking up a sensor to the time-knob that, as soon as a valuechange is registered, it cuts input to delay, and when value is stable again, opens it.

Well, I found out, that cutting the input does NOT help, unless the delaytime also stops chaning - the output still changes - of course The change in delay is on the outputbuffer. And this we hear as pitch-shifting. So if You quantize the output of the Time-knob to ie. 16 steps (125ms stepsize with a 2000ms delaytime max), or make a buttonstack with preset values - it might be ok for Your purpose. At least You can avoid some/a lot of the twisted sound that way. Remember to turn interpolate in prefs "off" when used like this, or to the taste of Your ears

well, i have a list box with all timings (2b/1b/etc.) it works well this way, but yeah, i have a free knob that i would like it to work..i guess i will leave it this way..or maybe turn it with an imagetoframe..in the many2one entry list...maybe it will work...
Thanks!
