hey guys,
i want to make 64 pads trigger by MIDI, but at same time i want the user be able to write in the piano roll with the samples in those pads so im using some DD modules to split zones.. anyway starting at key 32 and ending at key 96 will make the sounds change a lot due to the pitch of the long distance of keys...
What do i do so that the sample mantain the same pitch constantly through the whole piano roll and MIDI button at same time?
i have an independent pitch knob but thats for the sample itself....
Thanks!

Hi, If you put a quantizer module on the pitch out pin of the Midi to CV and then from the quantizer out to the waveplayer pitch in, you can have a constant pitch for the samples in any range. The range can be set in the properties of the quantizer (step size=1 means same pitch for a range of 12 semitones/keys) That is a good start i think. i am new and maybe there is a better approach. i tried this way and it works as far as the same-pitched-samples-over-a-range is concerned.

Maybe you should consider loading your samples in a conversion software and creating an SF2 file and load only this one file into synthedit with its ranges and sample pitches ready to your settings. Sf2s can have many drumsets (instruments) in one file, too, and you can choose among drumsets using only one sf2 file. I've done this for custom waveforms (sawtooth, square, sine etc.)It's convenient.

thanks.. but i believe i found another way... not connecting the pitch pin from the MIDI2CV module into the wav player : )
