hey guys.. sorry for the noob question but what is the formula for achieve the correct Bpm in order to make an Osc to be used as LFO to run a pattern sequencer.
I´m using 120/60000 -> connected to the Osc pitch and it seems is too slow then the actual 120 bpm of my daw!!! I´m using Ramp waveform and 1v/Khz!!!
What am i doing wrong?
Thanks!

Hm, it should be correct, because 120BPM ^= 2Hz = 0.002 kHz and 120/60000=0.002. Don't know why it seems to be too slow in your DAW. How much too slow is it? Have you synced the Oscillator to the host tempo anyway?

hi mindtraveller, this is what im trying to do: the first LVLAdj is just a switch to keep the "power" off, next a trigger/retriger switch. But this is not working. not because of the switches i think??!!! Using only the BPM Clock works perfectly, when i combine it with the Osc like it is in the pic, when i choose BPM Clock it works very slow and when i choose the Osc as clock the LEDs of my sequencer just turn off and there is no stepping!!!! Do i miss any module here? edit: lo0l..i made the pic in mistake, the reset pin is connected to another switch in my real project not to the gate switch... sorry (else it would be resetiing over and over!!! anyway the other stuff is applied : )

why do you want to use the bpm-clock2 ? it is not stable! the bpm-clock3 is also not stable. you only need a temposynced LFO and use it like a clock. to sync to a daw you need the bpm-tempo module for the host tempo and the transport run to indicate the start-stop of your daw. oh... btw its not working with "preroll" daws like cubase or sonar. its working with FL, Acid, Live, Reaper so far i was testing. PS: you really should use a "many to one" and a counter for sequencing stuff

nah man.. the project is much more than this.. i just set the "basic starting" that is not working for advise.. so you say i should use bpm-tempo module?! but the VSTi is suposed to run as a kind of stand-alone app.... using a simple host just to make it run with no sequencer or whatsoever! so i believe i must keep the pulse out pin connected : ) .... thats why i want to have both options 1- to sync with the simple host 2- to introduce my own bpm. This way i can togle the bpm of the drum machine up and down!

update: this is what is happenning -> if i set Reaper to 148BPMs in order to switch from -> sync to host bpm --> manual bpm <- i must use a manual bpm of 600bpms. This way i can toggle from one to another without changes in the bpm speed...... What does this means? ?!!!!!

you need a monostable connected to "clock" outside the container!

Hmm, is the container with the sequencer (like in the picture you posted Sep 9.) connected to to a MIDItoCV module? Because as far as I know those containers are automatically muted if there is no MIDI-key pressed. Anyway why do you use that AND Gate and a LvL-Adj. Can't you trigger/retrigger manually by first muting the clock (for the specific pad) and then (a few milliseconds later) send the trigger-signal to the pad-trigger-input? Are you shure about the 600bpm? because if it where 592bpm it would be exactly 4*148bpm. With pitch=592/60000 the Oscillator should pulse out 16th-notes. Sry if I didn't understand your problem right.

im not using Midi2CV ... and i cannot show you the entire project like this :S.... I´m using the lvladj just to cut the signal at the root of the BPMClock plus to make some general muting in some VCA´s inside the project, then the AndGate to start the BPMClock in orde to send the pulse to the patterns, and a Switch to retriger/panic. And yes it might be 592BPM.. i did not tested beat over beat in the DAW. So it might be it 592 BPM!!! What does that means? here is a pic of the projects main containner... i hope you understand something of it cause i didnt set it like this due to the confusion it might make:

pulse divide? do you mean the "divisions" of my screenshot? i changed the original prefab to have one module less. in the original there was a multiplier (x 60000) before the tempo divider. the divider changes the speed of the lfo to have half or double speed. for example if you have a 16 step seq (1/16) and you set to double-speed, you have a 8 step seq but with 1/32 resolution.

you need a monostable connected to "clock" outside the container! Hi Klang, I have a question ... is your picture showing the diagram in order to build a bpm tempo slider ? Thank You in Advance.

Use the transport run pin...you can also create your own clock with a BPMTempo module and an oscillator!
