The "sound out" module seems to have 12 mono outputs, with no way to change this.
I can create a VST synth with dual mono outputs, one left and one right, but Cubase (at least Cubase 5) won't tolerate this in an instrument track and declares that the VST will be silent because it's not stereo.
It also won't tolerate a center single mono output.
Is it possible to have one stereo output?

When saving as a VST you can set the option to "Output as Stereo pairs". The sound out module is only to directly send sound to the soundcard, not what Cubase sees in your plugin.
