Hi everyone,
Is there any way of giving the user visual representation of a modulated parameter?
For example, let's say the user modulates a filter frequency with an lfo, the objective would be to show them how the frequency parameter is being affected through visual representation, like a dot moving trough the determined range by the user.
Hope I am making my self clear, its like Refx Serum which has exactly that system.
I know so far that we can change text and colors but can we create movement or if not anyone has came up with a solution to this?
Thank in advance.

Hi, you can use subcontrols to animate Images. I made an example below. You can also use Joystick Image to move a small Image (like a dot or so) in 2D. Animation ExampleGreetings, Adrian

I usually use bitmap images controlled by voltage using a KDL volt to guifloat (gives you 60fps or more)

visual feedback yes, but not like serum i think. the problem is to move a already moving animated visual feedback like the range of an lfo. serum has one of the best visual feedback i saw till now.
but you have to consider... more visual feedback will cost more cpu power!

You can. Not hard at all using the example I posted, but an LFO is feeding voltage to the image construction.

I made the vector "Ring" as one way of showing the real-time value of a knob. It's in SE 1.4 under "Experimental/Sub-Controls" image

What is special about the new vector modules? Apart from being able to resize them with what programs can you do? the interesting thing would be to make the modulation start from the position of the knob as most do, someone knows if this is possible.
