so ive just be using the gui version of synthedit, and its honostly just because my device doesnt really have the space for funking visual studio 22 gigs wtf? n i still didnt get all i wanted, so that coupled with programing level more like javascript and less like c++ c# or c ha.
but i spent like a whole day just exporting as vst in different ways trying to get it to work right, now maybe twice i got a .dll file i could open in ableton, now my copy of live is 64 bit, so the .dlls have to be 64-bit, so the default set up for installing the SDK has it somewhere like idk. C:/SynthEditSDK lol making it nessacary to have admin level permissions, fine i get it, so ill run it as admin....oh well, cant run a shortcut as admin, so than search my system to track down the original synthedit 64 bit exe, than make something simple and export as VST2 sometimes id get a .dll with the name. sometimes nothing, sometimes ableton would see it sometimes it wouldnt and than sometimes it just wouldnt open. now obviously theres probably a good few times of user error funking up my vst creation game here. but is this 100% user error, im quite persistent and this had me angrily shaking my fist like an old man. it seems like with every attempt i made its got to be something buggy with the free demo version....
has anyone else had similar problems. or any similar experiences? would this maybe be less likely to happen with the licenced copy of Synthedit? or am i just a skiddie nub?

Just remember that SE1.2 & SE1.3 are both still in beta. The latter would have more bugs, 64bit VST2 support is in the latter. First try and export a super simple plug - like a passing input to output(no GUI) before doing anything more complex. SE will dump the plug where it is specified under "Preferences->File Locations". The only difference between the demo and registered version is the GUI will be different. So I don't think that is your problem.
