Rob, Thanks again for the modules. As far as I can tell, when using the RH-Text-Append module for say, an equalizer to show the frequency + Hz, the value is not writeable. For example: If the Text Entry3 module within a sub-control is made writeable, then a new value is entered, the value appears as updated but the control doesn't respond and the actual frequency doesn't change. Do you know of a workaround for this? See the attached image of the sub-control. Best, Dave Attachments:

Think the only way around that is to have a custom Text Entry module which has an additional 'locked' text pin. It doesn't work with the Append Module because of the way GUI modules communicate. The only hack I could think of is to not use the append module and have an extra Text Entry for the 'locked' text. Adds a bit of clutter though.

Thanks Andrew, that’s the way I used to do it. Text append is so much cleaner when scaling through 4 & 5 digit values with a suffix. It’s great otherwise.

Do you know of a workaround for this? Hi Dave, Yes, I do have a solution for this! I have two ideas, either alter the current module (add bi-directional to just text input one and output ) or build a new module with fixed inputs and bi-directionality. When I have some time I'll get on it.

It's done! You can re-download my GUI modulepack to use it. LinkI tried it with an example comparible to yours, and when I change the value..the input changes correctly. There seems to be no problem with the Hz text afterwards, if so.. let me know cause then I need to do some filtering.

Rob,
The suffix text shows up duplicated now, (10 dB dB or 1500 Hz Hz). Once the control is moved once the duplicate goes away. If you close and reopen the same panel the problem retums. The same occurs on exported plugins.
Also, I realized that all of the sub controls, that don't upate after I type in a new value are using RH-Rescale. Unpin RH-Rescale & re-route, then entered values update the control. Of course they aren't scaled any more, but they will update.

Thanks for trying it Dave, had hoped it would work. Shame. Didn't try putting everything in a container, I also got the duplicate. I'll fix it, or build a new module. Same for the rescale.

Think I fixed the text-append problem, please re-download. Rescale when I have some more time.

That fixed the duplicate bug.
On another note, not a bug, rather just a side effect of me being lazy. If a value is set to writeabe and you type over the entire text (1567 Hz), then the value is updated but the suffix disappears until the contol is moved. If you take the time to just type over the value (1567) and not the suffix then all is well.

Hmm, yeah I noticed that as well. Not sure if I can fix that.
I did do another tiny update, made sure there are always spaces between the values and text.
Please re-download.

Nice fix Rob. I had been adding a space in the PatchMemory Text Out module to compensate.
