good time to mention the 'global.txt' file in the default skin.
don't change the default skin in your 'skins' folder in the
Synthedit program folder, keep it as it is. make a copy, call it,
i dunno, 'my def skin' or 'defskin Edit 1' or something. copies
will let you experiment with changes you can make to the way
your project appears in 'Panel Edit'/ the GUI.
i sort of started a thread to go through the whole skin, but i haven't
got round to doing more on it yet. over
hereglobal.txt defines the way all native SE text displays:
font, size, alignment, colour, and background
you can also use DH text display and text IO modules, which allow
you to edit text displays within your SE project without having to
edit the skin - worth considering these as an alternative once
you know what you are doing with the SE text entry2 module,
although the font selection is more limited (unless there's a way
i don't know about to add more fonts)
DH text display is a passive/slave display module, DH text IO lets
you type in the values as well as displaying - but DH text display
can have a transparent background(by making the background
colour value -1 and DH text IO can't, it has to be a solid colour.
(found that out, using them for the 1st time recently)
GUIText connections can be used for non-display purposes as well,
to pass data/values.(have a look at the demo prefabs in the
DH SubControl Packs, and on Daz's site)
