Polyphony Rules!
polyphony remains a question for me:
here, building a sequenced instrument with 16x everything in the sequencer, it's getting pretty crowded onscreen: i would like to chuck all of this into a container: (list patchmemsx16 x #params)(the actual list>volts + their fixed values) +(any logic arrays -AND etc.)
my instrument will be monophonic - for this one, maybe more afterwards - and the sequencer part doesn't emit any sound: should i be worrying about polyphony on this container? i'm thinkng not, but i don't want to spend hours building it for nothing..
generally, i try to have my synth dsp stuff in a container, fx separately within the plugin container, and i don't worry too much abut anything else. i leave container settings at 6 mostly. can i optimise the plugin, improve cpu by managing this/observing some rules i might not know about? thanks.

If you want something to be monophonic, use a voicecombiner I guess.. or set the container poly to 1.

yes LFO mainly, generally, and?
what about EG.. poly, bcs your synth is eg: 6x poly, can play 6 note chords, right? unless doing fast stuff with long releases - talking from v1.0 standpoint, i know 1.1 has improved etc.-
you don't immediately look at the oscillator sem and see it as polyphonic x6, if you see what i mean; many people build synths with 'true'(?) 6 note poly, actually using 6 osc, each with own MIDItoCV, containerized. i don't get why they do this if SE osc is optimized to play 6x poly - unless it is for better 'ensemble' sound, and more accurate/true to original hardware?
i was thinking about when using dsp x16 sequencer stuff in containers, ..with each step, and stage, is that mono or poly?
i tried to get smart with this at one point, and multiplied by the number of voices i figured i'd be using at that point, got really complicated, on some things it was 12x ...and obviously it ended up choking notes badly. so i put everything back to 6x and it cured the problem, and i haven't really paid so much attention to it since, apart from, yes, LFO, or key/pitch(vel?) input: pitch CV can produce swift addition of pitches to beyond audible if not put through voice combiner.
