If you are looking for version differences between the demo and the paid version of SynthEdit, they can be found here: Look under where it says "Limitations." These are things that the demo can't do that the paid version (I presume) can. That is not what I am asking about. Before I make the purchase, I would like to know more about how the paid version is distributed. I presume I would be buying a serial key, but how does it work? How many computers can I use it on? Is there a way to un-register a computer to move the serial to another computer without affecting my quota? I understand that DRM is a touchy subject, and that the staff may not be comfortable with releasing this information, but this is critical information for me, as I am looking to get a new computer soon, but could use this software now.

While helpful, it can be vague as its answers appear to reflect any orders through that system, only one of which is SynthEdit. While it is fairly easy to mentally filter out all of its physical-product answers, this still leaves many questions. Text in " QUOTES" is directly from the MyCommerce Share-It FAQ (linked above) and/or the pages therein. Stock question: " What exactly will I receive if the product is delivered by e-mail?" Stock answer: " Typically, you will receive a license key, the full version in an e-mail attachment, or a download link for the product you ordered." Problem: This answer is so vague it is almost useless, as it allows wiggle room for any combination of the three above. Which combination of the three is SynthEdit? Also, apparently this backend supports mailing a backup CD. Is this option available (or even necessary under ANY circumstances) for SynthEdit? " Download monitoring products This is special software that monitors downloads of any kind. These products can also interfere with or stop a download." If the full version of SynthEdit is a downloadable, are there restrictions on how many times this may be downloaded? This generally isn't a big issue, as long as the counter resets after each update, but it is still good to know. Will my download link expire, after which I would need to buy an " extended download service?"
