Hi all, new to the forum. Signed up to find out if SynthEdit is the right product for a new project.
What I’m trying to create is a soft synth that I can hook up to a hardware controller to make an analog-style synth as an exhibit for a children’s museum.
I realize there are many hardware DIY synth kits out there, but given the extremely harsh environment (kids beating on it 8 hrs a day, 6 days a week), I thought it would be better to have everything done virtually, with easily-replaceable knobs and sliders being the only hardware components.
So to reiterate...what I need is a customizable soft synth for which I would then build a hardware controller. Can SynthEdit be used in this way? I’m a player, not a programmer, so if you explain something to me, please keep it simple.
Many thanks! Drew
