i've been using that to load the sem setups and find out how these things work - not sure how it is with panels yet. having to re-open the GUI from time to time after changing something. how this will be in a plugin that you move on-screen in a host (?were there plugins where the menu stayed in wrong place after moving, until you refreshed the GUI?)
just finding out how to use them and if they are useful.
Q: is there any way of adding to the font list for DH? how do they deal with fonts? internally, or do they rely on what's installed on the user's PC?(as SE does)
nb: i'm just reconsidering what is my best way to deal with text labels.
Popup Menu is quite cool so far, TextIO is nice for the few fonts it does but needs a background colour box TextDisplay allows -1 for b/g transparency
still haven't worked out which are 'slave' or input 'master', or if they need a textentry2, etc.

i'd prefer as few labels as possible, and for the UI to be as self-explanatory as possible - but i also want a reliable way of labelling in projects, that can be used right up to the plugin draft.(it always leaves possiblity of putting the text on the background image, or making 'text pngs' for panel views, but that gets quite messy during a build if you need to move stuff around, or you end up doing loads of drafts of the background (waste of time) - so ultimately you might as well leave text off the b/g until the last minute and work with labels - or have a separate GUI container/layer with all the text in it. but you wouldn't want it to rely on the patchmems, or you're spending ages making pins out from containers holding the patchmems(it allows you to name all your parameters easily when you do your automation properties, and check which ones you want *not to appear, and/or how they display. this won't necessarily be useful text to display on the front panel...and so on, multiple ways to approach it.
